Crafty V Gifts

Under the Bed I have a Stash of Men's Shirts, the collection started after finding a pattern from Meet Me At Mikes a fabulous Fitzroy Melbourne Crafter.  This is a shirt cushion with the pocket embrobied for my J.

                                          
Inspired by making the cushion I made a Man Tote... The sleeves I cut up to make the strap keeping the cuff detail and popped on some blue bais binding from my trusty salvos stash... yes it has a matching blue heart embroided too.
On V day I presented my crafty gifts to my fabulous man... he beamed with delight (and a little bewilderment) and prompltly stuffed the cushion in the bag!!!  I thought it was a very manly thing to do. xx

Surry Hills Market Dress Makeover- Pink!

I pulled this frock out of the bag of goodies I picked up at the Market this weekend and my flatmate gasped "but it's like a nightie!" She was spot on.
Inspired by Kelly Doust Minxy Vintage I got to work.(The rotting Bananas could wait one more day to be whipped into banana bread)

Sharp scissors, matching bias binding from a salvos stash and some helpful hemming is it straight or is it not questions to my patient flatmate... I am thrilled with my new $10 frock. xx

Revealing My Fan of Feathers

Do you have a Suitcase under the bed crammed full of treasure?
My treasures are frocks... I have tried to cut down, I am constantly proclaiming too anyone that will be my audience "I will never acquire another"
Well at least I have cut down on the frocks I let pass the threshold of the front door... stuffing them in the boot of the car has also been a hard habit to kick!
It's time to drag out that suitcase, make those overdue alterations and pop them on display.... just like a beautiful fan of peacock feathers.
